Our pre and postnatal physio exercise classes help you to remain strong throughout your pregnancy, prepare your body for labour and safely return to exercise after birth. Classes run for 45 minutes and are led by a physiotherapist and are suitable throughout all stages of your pregnancy and postpartum journey, with the focus on strengthening the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles whilst also aiming to tone and strengthen the arms and legs to aid in delivery of your baby and the new demands that motherhood places on your body. It is a great way to meet other new mums or mums to be whilst exercising in a safe and supportive environment This class uses a combination of mat, small equipment and Pilates reformer exercises. A one to one Physiotherapy assessment is required before commencing this class to assess the pelvic floor and deep abdominal musculature and any other musculoskeletal issues that may arise during pregnancy or birth. It may be recommended that you attend our clinical exercise classes depending upon how your body is coping throughout pregnancy.
