Join Alex Sheppard for a 6 week series to develop Crow
and Side Crow.
In this series you will have a chance to break down these two
poses in a way you cannot in a 60 min flow class. We will spend 3
weeks working up towards Crow and 3 weeks on Side Crow. In each
class Alex will guide you through a warm up focused on opening up
your shoulders and spine as well as strengthening your arms and
core to prepare you for these arm balances. Alex will give you
specific muscle action drills as well as strength and mobility
movements to get you ready to master Crow and Side
Crow.
In addition, you will also have a chance to get 1:1 help and
guidance from Alex throughout the course. In this 6 week
journey we will also explore ways to flow in and out of Crow and
Side Crow (jumping out into Chaturanga, moving from Crow to
Headstand, going from Chair to Side Crow and much more!). This
series will give you the confidence you need to flow in and out of
these arm balances in your own practice and in the classes you
take.
All levels are welcome. Whether you have your crow/side crow
and want to perfect it, whether you need a little more guidance to
get some hang time, or if you've never tried them but have always
wanted to, this series is for you. Bring 2 blocks and a strap -
recommended but not required.
