Gentle Pilates is a virtual mat class is designed for active older adults with Pilates experience. The class is appropriate for all levels and safe for those with osteoporosis and osteopenia. It covers proper body mechanics needed for an active daily lifestyle. While the class is meant to be a gentler approach to Pilates, there is, however, constant flow to the class exercises so knowledge of the Pilates method is a must!
Incorporating enhanced mat work with different props (or homemade props), Gentle Pilates will focus on improving strength and lengthening the spine, balance, and flexibility. Considered as a body conditioning program, the instructor will take you through warm-ups, core strengthening, upper and lower body strengthening while accommodating a variety of client needs.
