Yoga for Stress, Anxiety & Depression
This past year, of living through a pandemic, has created a collective experience of worry, isolation, and heightened stress. Due to these life changes, maintaining a healthy and balanced mood can be a challenging endeavor. Learn how the integrative practices of yoga and mindfulness meditation can provide you with coping mechanisms and tools that can help with emotional regulation, stress, depression, and anxiety.
Using the healing powers of breath, movement, meditation, insight, and awareness, you will cultivate new strategies to better cope with life’s demands. This space will allow for increased knowledge of how your body responds to stress, how your mind influences your body, and how your mood is integrally connected to both. You will then learn holistic and evidence-based practices to curate a toolbox of sorts; to be utilized as needed, for your emotional well-being. In addition to learning the science behind stress, you will have opportunity to experience practices to calm your mind, lift your mood, and lessen your worry.
What You Will Learn In This Workshop:
Breathing practices to calm, invigorate and ground
Meditations to slow the fluctuations of the mind
Mind-body practices to manage stress, anxiety and depression
Insight into your emotional setpoint and strategies to boost your
mood
Awareness of your unique triggers and how to respond vs. react
