The basic ingredients are the
same for chair yoga as for any yoga class: 1) healthy moves for the
body, 2) positive thoughts in the mind, and 3) benevolence of the
spirit.
This class is for anyone with limited mobility
looking to regain or maintain functional strength, flexibility and
balance. Chair yoga includes movements seated in a chair as well as
behind or beside the chair, using it for support and balance.
No previous experience needed. We've made a career with
yoga: keeping bodies moving and keeping psyches on the spiritual
path. Many of our students have been with us 20 years or
more. We don’t stop, but we do adapt. Chair yoga is an
adaptation to accommodate changing bodies. Come and be
pleasantly guided through movements, stretches, healthy challenges
and a guided relaxation.
