What is pain? Why do we feel it? How do we change pain once it has become chronic? Is persistent pain preventable? What tools can Yoga provide?
New models of pain have emerged in the 21st century that both challenge our current understanding of pain and offer hope for those who suffer from persistent pain. Persistent pain is complex, life altering and often confusing. Learning more about pain is an evidence based strategy for getting relief and also for preventing chronic pain. Turns out, many strateges for changing pain are distinctly Yogic in nature.
This 3 hour event is an experiential workshop to empower you in dealing with pain. This workshop includes:
Pain education lecture and discussion
Applied practice for discovery
Full color handout (in pdf format)
