<p>A deep, earthy, grounding class incorporating incense and sound bowls through the practice. A polar opposite of what you would expect from a vinyasa class. Yin Yoga encourages the practitioner to go against the fast-pace that society lays on us. This class will help you activate your parasympathetic nervous system and find a deep sense of calm. Yin Yoga utilizes a passive form of stretching in which we go deeper than the muscles. As we sit in each asana for sometimes up to eight minutes, we will reach beneath the muscle all the way to connective tissue. Your ligaments, tendons, fascia, and bones will be stressed as we let gravity pull us towards the earth. <br /><br />This class is available for all levels of yoga practice. First time yogis will find this class accessible and even the most master of practitioners will find themselves challenged in this class. </p>
