Originating in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th Century and eventually spread to France, Ballet’s history is reflected in the continued predominance of French vocabulary and terminology of ballet.
A traditional classical ballet class with a focus on proper technique needed to improve and progress to the next level of study. This full repertoire class commences with traditional barre exercises incorporating port de bras and correct core body strength. Center work is focused on adagio, pirouettes, petit allégro and grand allégro. Musicality is emphasized as students are exposed to a variety of both classical and contemporary composers.
Beginner/Intermediate: High Beginner to low intermediate level. 2 - 5 years of Ballet required.
Footwear: Ballet Shoes, Jazz Shoes recommended. Bare feet acceptable. Purchase Ballet and Jazz Shoes at City Dance Corps.
Attire: Form fitting, stretch clothing you can sweat in.
The Pre-Screening Questionnaire must be filled out for each visit to the studio and must be completed on the same day as your in-studio class. FILL OUT FORM HERE
No cash transactions on site. Sign up through the CDC website or CDC app.
Online registration closes 2 hours before each class. Book ahead and online. Spaces are limited.
Classes with less than 5 students enrolled will be cancelled 2 hours before the start time.
Zero-Tolerance Late Policy. Arrive 10 minutes before your class. Latecomers not permitted into class. Latecomers and no-shows will be charged a late cancellation fee.
