<p>Yin yoga is a meditative and quiet practice that allows the practitioner to go within. The practice involves holding the poses for longer periods of time. Consciously focusing on being still and relaxing your muscles allows the good stress of the pose to targt the deep connective (yin) tissues of the body such as your bones, ligaments, fascia and the joints. This practice compliments any vigorous activities such as running, cycling, hiking or an energetic yoga class. This practice is for all levels and can be very relaxing and calming to your to your nervous system stimulating your parasympathetic response.</p>
