Situational Self-Defense:
Sessions will center on learning effective defenses for
real-life scenarios including grabs, chokes and bear hugs; along
with mastering common strikes, knees, and kicks.
Ages 13+ Welcome.
1 Session:
Basics of Self-Defense: Stance, walk
Strike: Hammer fist
Grab Defenses: hair, wrists, shoulder, bag,
Kicks: to the knee, front kick
Stress Drill
2 Session:
Elbows: 1 and 6
Strikes: Palm-heel
Choke Defense: front + variables (height, pressure,
distance)
Kick to the groin/ Knee to the groin
Stress Drill
3 Session:
Strikes + 360 Defense
Elbows: 4 and 5
Bear Hug Defense: front and back, hands free/no hands
Shoe talk
Stress Drill
4 Session:
Strikes + 360 Defense
Choke against wall + variables
Falling (front, back, side)
Take down/ Disengage
Review stress drill
