<p>We have all experienced or will experience some level of trauma in life.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Events we commonly recognize as trauma are child abuse, neglect, domestic violence, serious injuries and/or illness etc., many of which can also lead to Post Traumatic Stress.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>In today’s presence we also experience “low-level” trauma daily, leaving us feeling “heavy hearted”, “foggy minded” and overwhelmed by life in general. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>This yoga class is a gentle, accessible movement OR no movement class.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>It is designed to help reconnect your mind with your body, with traumatic experiences our nervous system as a defense mechanism tends to almost sever this connection, which may then lead to depression, feelings of hopelessness and other mental and physical health illnesses.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Yoga can help support healing the mind/body disconnection, and empower you to recalibrate your nervous system, thereby reconnecting in a positive way with the body that currently may feel so foreign at times.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
