Join Pamela Wilson (formerly Ronstadt) for a two-day deep dive into Yin Yoga via Zoom. Yin is a slow, deliberate practice that explores the edges where resistance arises. The resistance may be physical, but we also will notice and honor other edges, such as the emotional and psychological. On a physical level, yin yoga targets and affects connective tissues, which include fascia, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and bones. All tissues need exercise to maintain optimal health, and these deeper tissues are no exception. Yin yoga stresses let us exercise them safely.

In single-day sessions on consecutive weekends, you will learn...

information about the philosophy and practice of yin yoga

the difference between yin and yang styles of yoga

the concepts of tension and compression and how tension can arise from a variety of causes

an awareness of the wide range of anatomical human variation

fundamentals of energy, including the meridians

detailed instructions for practicing / guiding others in common yin yoga asanas
