This 2-day workshop will introduce you to traditional yoga practices of using sound and chanting. We will explore findings from modern western medicine and play with sound to feel the energetic effects within our own body/mind. Additional resources will be provided to participants. Participants are encouraged to bring note-taking materials, a practice mat, and wear comfortable clothing for movement. Class will include some lecture, discussion, and guided practice (including movement, breathing, and meditation). Yoga Alliance CEUs will be available for participation in this training.

This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education, is an adjunct professor at IUPUI, a certified Yoga Therapist, a licensed Massage Therapist, and a Nationally Board-Certified Wellness Coach. She has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations and loves teaching others.
