This 90 minute class begins with a focus on
meditation/centuries old breathing techniques discussed in NY Times
Bestsellor Breath by John Hestor, followed by restorative poses and
concluding with a relaxing/restorative sound bath utilizing gongs,
singing bowls and other instruments.
Ed Shadid has been practicing medicine, yoga and meditation
for more than 25 years. Trained as an orthopedic spinal surgeon in
NYC and San Francisco in the 1990s, Ed returned to Oklahoma to
practice medicine in 2001. For the next 20 years, Ed practiced
yoga, meditation and sound healing individually while sharing the
healthcare benefits with his patients. In 2021 he attended and
graduated from a 200 hour teacher training with the Luminous Heart
Institute (Nancy Goodfellow and Kadri Kugran) in Santa Teresa,
Costa Rica.
