Foraging is the act of harvesting wild plants and mushrooms for food. Learn how to identify common plants that grow in our local ecosystem with forager, Aly Stoffo of Glam Gardener NYC. This event includes a 45-minute grounding yoga class for all levels cultivating Drishti and connection to the senses, by Be Yoga teacher Cai. It will be followed by a one-hour guided foraging tour through the park.

You’ll learn about 5-10 plants that grow locally and have been used for food and medicine for thousands of years.

This is a great workshop for people that love the outdoors and want to connect with nature using ancestral skills that we all have deep inside of us. Other subject areas discussed are herbalism, ecosystems, and sustainability.

Come with curiosity, leave with knowledge on your local ecosystem, and a few clippings of wild edible plants! There will be a bathroom on site. There is a parking lot on site and street parking nearby, but please arrive early as availability is unpredictable.
