Level 1 is the Reformer class level following
the Orientation Class. In this class, the focus is on strengthening
the abdominals and learning to stabilize your pelvis and spine
while mastering the repertoire of Level 1 exercises. We recommend
15 - 20 sessions in Level 1 before asking your teacher if you are
ready to be tagged for the Mid Level Class.
The Mid Level requires spinal flexibility, good abdominal control as well as wrist and shoulder stability, and strength to be able to handle the more advanced Pilates Reformer exercises. Keep this thought in mind...the more advanced you become and the more correct your technique and alignment becomes the more you realize that Level 1 is challenging when performed correctly!
