When we talk about mobility there are a lot of different ideas about what it is that are regularly thrown around. First, let's define what mobility is. To put it as simply as possible:
Flexibility + Strength = Mobility
Mobility Series is meant to be more of an in-depth look at what mobility is, how we can use it in our practice, and why it is important. Each class will have a focal point in order to create a clearer understanding as to how the joint moves and functions. There will be a 15-minute talk at the beginning of each class to give us a better understanding of the ideas, principles, and science (not too sciencey) behind what we are doing in class.
This 3 part Mobility Series (shoulders, spine & hips) will focus on building a strong foundation for any activity, sport, and life. Create flexibility, strength, and body control while allowing your body to move freely, and without pain. Join one, two or all three parts of this series.
Mobility Series Part 2: Spine
From the top of your shoulders to the top of your hip there are approximately 34 different joints. Each joint is unique in its ability to move and communicate with the central nervous system. Learn how your spine functions and moves and why it's important to have the ability to control each individual joint for long lasting back health.
