Similar to a musical instrument that can fall out of tune through use, our bodies can also fall out of vibrational harmony and potentially develop illness.
Tibetan singing bowls are one of the most powerful ways to re-tune us to health, physically and mentally, since 70% of the human body is made up of water and the soothing and resonant sound created by singing bowls affects our body on a cellular level and takes us to a deep relaxation.

Each bowl emits a soothing vibration that radiates out negative energy. Sound and vibration is well known for reducing stress, improving concentration, stimulating life force flow in the body, harmonizing the chakras, synchronizing the brain hemispheres and removing mental and emotional negativity, etc.

In this class, we will be relaxing in some restorative poses with all kinds of props while enjoying the bath of sound and vibration. This small, specialized, soothing, and peaceful class is designed to renew the nervous system and help release deeply held tension from the body, mind and spirit. We will begin with a gentle relaxing breathing practice, move through some gentle stretches then practice several restorative poses. In the restorative poses we will use props to support the body for 5 to 15 minutes in each pose. Reiki is a natural, holistic, energy healing system that touches individuals on all levels. It can be used to alleviate any form of disease whether it is of the body, mind or spirit. It can reduce pain, illness and emotional trauma. REI-KI (pronounced ray-key) means “universal life energy” – the energy that is all around us. Reiki balances and strengthens the body’s energy, promoting its ability to heal itself. We will finish the class with a guided meditation or Yoga Nidra. This class is appropriate for students of all levels. Pre-Registration is requested as class size is limited ensuring Paula can give each student individual attention.
