This training expands on Part 1 with a focus on how to bring trauma-informed logic, languaging, cueing and sequencing to the instruction/facilitation of a yoga practice within a group and individual setting.
This workshop will include:
Review of:
- Trauma and its effects on the body, mind and
nervous system
- The relevant applications of yoga to support
and resolve daily stress and traumatic stress for your
students/clients/context
In-session practicum:
- Group and partner work exploring approach and
sequencing effects on nervous system
- Use of invitational language
- Personal feedback and
guidance
- Workshop discussion
Format
This is an interactive workshop combining education and experiential practices. We will explore a range of techniques including yoga, breathwork, meditation, somatics and self-inquiry. Continuing Education Credits are available for Yoga Alliance registered teachers.

Prerequisites & Certification Participants will need to have completed Part 1 of the Sensory Awareness/Trauma Informed Yoga Training (held on October 1st & 2nd) to attend. This training can be used towards our new 300-RYT program and Continuing Education Credits are available for Yoga Alliance registered teachers.
