<div>Pelvic floor physical therapy is considered part of standard perinatal care in many countries but in America, people barely even know it exists. Even for those who seek it out, it is hard to come by quality care in a timely manner that doesn’t cost a fortune. Jenny Putt, a pelvic floor physical therapist in Santa Cruz, witnesses this problem everyday which is why she is bringing group pelvic floor physical therapy to The Circle Family Center. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Over the course of seven weeks, Jenny Putt PT literally teaches you how to be your own pelvic floor physical therapist so that you can navigate pregnancy, labor and/or postpartum with confidence and an unprecedented understanding of your body. Jenny Putt PT creates a very comfortable and safe space for everyone meeting them where they are at and assisting them in taking steps toward where they want to be. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you are pregnant and have symptoms or want to optimize your body’s ability to grow and carry a baby; if you are pregnant and want to prepare your body for labor and delivery; if you are postpartum and what to know how to feel good and strong again; if you are experiencing prolapse, incontinence, pelvic pain and/or diastasis recti; if you are trying to conceive and want to do everything you can to prepare your body for pregnancy, this series addresses all of this and more (see series topics below). </div>
<div> </div>
<div>It should also be noted that there will be no internal assessments or treatments performed within the group setting. Participants will have the opportunity to be instructed on how to do this on their own in session three and will have the option of signing up for an individual appointment with Jenny Putt PT as an add-on service. Should any participant want to opt out of any portion of the series, they always have the freedom and permission to do so. Jenny Putt PT also makes herself available outside of the classroom time for any questions/comments/concerns should a participant not want to share them with the group. </div>
