Regardless of your age, physical condition, or prior yoga
experience, this class is an opportunity to feel all the benefits
of a yoga practice from a chair! From your home! Chair Yoga is a
low-impact way to build strength, flexibility, and balance through
physical poses. We'll also explore yoga breathing and meditation
practices that can calm the mind and spirit, giving us tools to
reduce stress. For all-levels, especially those who find it a
challenge to move from standing to sitting to laying down, we'll do
poses seated in a chair or using it as a prop for stability and
support. Chair Yoga is also a great practice for folks who need a
break from seated office-work and those experienced yogis who may
want to rediscover poses that have become somewhat automatic.
