U2's The Joshua Tree ::: ROCK CAMP
A rock band camp at Beacon Music Factory, starting January 10th.
In this camp you will learn all the songs on U2's fifth album,
released in 1987.
Produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, the band aimed for a
harder-hitting sound than Unforgettable Fire. With its
American and Irish roots influences, this sociopolitically
conscious collection exemplifies U2's fascination with a “mythical
America.”
The Joshua Tree topped the charts in over 20 countries, and
became the fastest-selling album in British history. With this
album the band became superstars. It produced the hit singles “With
or Without You”, “I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For”, and
“Where the Streets Have No Name”, the first two of which became the
group's only number-one singles in the US.
