<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Postnatal Physio Exercise Classes help you to recover from childbirth and help your body to keep up with the demands of new motherhood. Classes run for 45 minutes and are led by a physiotherapists and are suitable, with the focus on strengthening the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles using a combination of mat, small equipment and reformer exercises. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A one to one Physiotherapy assessment is required before commencing this class to assess the pelvic floor and deep abdominal musculature and any other musculoskeletal issues that may have arisen during pregnancy. We recommend the Physio Postnatal Assessment be completed and classes commenced at approximately 6 weeks post delivery. It may be recommended that you attend our clinical exercise classes depending upon how your body is coping in the post-natal period. We welcome new mums to bring their bubs along (up until they commence crawling) and attend to them as needed throughout class. You are welcome to bring your baby in a pram, capsule, or let them play near you on the floor as you exercise. There are many hazards in a Pilates Studio so this class isn't suitable once babies are on the move!</span></p>
<p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Private Health Insurance rebates are available for this class as all pre and post natal exercise classes are taken by a qualified physiotherapist (item code 561).</span></em></p>
