Dance, act, sing, and shine with Skyline all summer long at Dovetail Studios!

From an exciting first day of getting to know a show to an exhilarating final performance, High School Musical 2 Broadway Summer Camp offers enchanting character opportunities where every actor can shine. All actors are assigned a named individual role in the show and together create a full musical ensemble for spectacular musical numbers such as “What Time Is It?,” “Fabulous,” and “You Are the Music in Me.”

Over the course of two weeks, Broadway Stars will build confidence and develop performance skills as they are challenged and motivated to work together with their castmates to create a polished and professional final show. Days will be packed with developing characters, rehearsing musical numbers, staging intricate scenes, becoming backstage leaders, making show-themed crafts, and visiting Horner park for outdoor lunch and recess.

Instructions on how to assemble an original costume will be provided to families in advance of the exciting final performance on the last date of this camp. Every actor will feel the glow of lighting up the stage as they develop their musical theater dance skills and then showcase their hard work in a staged musical for friends and family.

Our Competition Prep Intensive is perfect for a young dancer looking to get back in shape for performance season! Dancers in Level 1/2 will start with an hour ballet class catering to their level, a 15 minute break before either a jazz or contemporary class then an hour lunch in Horner Park. The 2nd half of the day will include learning a dance to present at the end of the week, a choreography class or stretch and strengthen class or arts and crafts. At the end of week, dancers will present a dance to their family to show what they learned!

Please bring ballet shoes, jazz shoes, two snacks and a lunch. Hair must be pulled back in a bun and students must wear a leotard and tights. For the summer, they can wear a leotard color of their choice!

Dancers in Level 3 will start with an 90 minute ballet class catering to their level,a 15 minute snack break with an opportunity to watch professional dancers take class, then they will take an hour of pre pointe/pointe before going to lunch in Horner Park for an hour. The 2nd half of the day will include an alternating jazz or contemporary class and learning a dance to present at the end of the week,then a strengthen/stretch class. At the end of week, dancers will present a dance to their family to show what they learned!

Please bring ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if the student has already been approved for pointe) jazz shoes, two snacks and a lunch. Hair must be pulled back in a bun and students must wear a leotard and tights. For the summer, they can wear a leotard color of their choice!
