Gain insight into the healing traditions of Chinese medicine, with breathwork, yoga, acupressure and acupuncture during this 2 hour workshop with Selena and Laura.

A seasonal workshop focusing on the summer.

In Chinese medicine Summer represents the element of fire, which encompasses the heart, the pericardium, the small intestine a uniquely Chinese organ called the triple burner.

Explore medicine based yoga, breath-work and a focus on acupressure points to encourage a sense of grounding, presence and connection.

Followed by acupuncture (insertion of small needles) during restorative poses and relaxation. Encouraging redistributing of Qi and Blood, which addresses stagnation in body, mind and spirit triggering the body’s own natural healing response.

Finishing with a freshly home made Chinese tea.

Part one: flow through a series of gentle energising yoga poses to generate warmth in the body and explore the use of breath and mantras to bring your focus on connecting to yourself and nurturing a positive mindset.

Part two: get cosy with props and blankets for a floor-based practice including mellow stretches that will open your body in a soft supported way.

Part three: enjoy breathwork exercises and meditation to deeply relax and unwind, cleanse your energy and balance your mind leaving you feeling fresh, renewed and prepared for the winter season.
