You're probably stronger than you think! Arm Balance poses definitely involve the core and shoulders, but the key to most of them is actually balance - imagine that!
Come learn safe methods of entry and exit for a range of Yoga arm balances from beginning to advanced. It is best to stretch and warm up before this class, since we will only have an hour together. We will at least warm up the wrists and shoulders a bit before attempting more challenging poses. We will also learn some conditioning sequences to strengthen the muscles used for most arm balancing.
You will be invited to listen to your body and intuition during this class. If there is anything you are not comfortable trying, you are welcome to simply watch instead.
$25 per person. Free for YTT students.

You know about the physical body of course, and you have heard the concept of the “soul,” which is sometimes called the causal body, but have you ever heard of the subtle body?
Yes! We have another body that is made of entirely of energy, and like the physical body, it has its own anatomy. Chakras are like the vital organs of the subtle body, nadis are like the nerves, and the koshas constitute what is sometimes called an “aura.”
Just as we tend to the health of the physical body, it is important to take good care of our subtle body for optimal quality of life. So when we talk about “aligning the chakras,” we are pointing to a process that is actually specific, palpable, and even scientific! This is why practices like Yoga, Ayurveda, and Tantra are considered “Vedic Sciences.”
During this workshop, we will discover the basic anatomy of the subtle body, and how it relates to the physical body, the breath, and the mind. We will learn about the physical body's nervous system, which parellels the subtle body's primary energy channels, kundalini shakti, and the inner Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine.
Then, we will do a deep dive on the seven Chakras and their physical, energetic, and spiritual qualities. Receive Paisley's hand illustrated Chakra worksheets and follow along as we learn together. Leave feeling empowered with a deeper understanding of yourself!
This class includes an experiential component: Yoga poses, breath work, and guided meditation. Please bring your mat, props if you'd like, as well as a notebook, and anything else you would like in order to be comfy!
$40 (or free for YTT students)
