Rooted in Strength: An Align Series Workshop
Take your asana practice to the next level by deepening your understanding of foundational postures. In this workshop, you’ll explore the subtle details of alignment and engagement to build strength, stability, and awareness in your body.
The Align Series offers students a chance to break down key postures commonly found in vinyasa classes. Through a blend of alignment-focused exploration, anatomy insight, and intentional movement, you’ll refine your form and build a stronger foundation for your practice.
Postures covered in the full Align Series include (but aren’t limited to): Warrior II, Extended Side Angle, Reverse Warrior, Triangle, Half Moon, Crescent, Revolved Crescent, Warrior I, Warrior III, Airplane, Side Plank, Plank, Downward Dog, Chair, Eagle, and more.
This workshop—Rooted in Strength—will focus
on:

Yoga philosophy addresses attachment in its various forms over and over. Referencing the yoga sutras and other sources, we will look at what attachment is, how it shows up in asana practice, and how we can work through it. Students can expect to leave with a sense of empowerment and a fresh perspective after time spent in discussion, light movement, breath work, and meditation.

Align yourself with the divine qualities of the universe through chanting sanskrit mantras.
In a judgement-free space, we’ll begin with gentle movement to find
comfort in the body, a short story time, and mantra followed by
silent meditation and deep relaxation.
Each month, we will focus a different mantra to chant together as a
group. This can be done anywhere in the spectrum of silently to out
loud. Though we’ll work through the pronunciation together,
mumbling is encouraged! This is open to all bodies, voices, belief
systems and experience levels.
