In most yoga classes you can expect to find a physical practice involving strength and flexibility, with a side of sweat. Less common, and arguably more important than ever, are messages that weave the depth and profound teachings of yogic philosophy into the practice.
Most yoga teachers take the leap into teaching because yoga has impacted their lives. The practice has made us healthier and more connected, and the philosophy has resonated with our deeper purpose. Yet, we often find it intimidating, or too time-consuming, to prepare classes that offer the deeper teachings of yoga in a way that will echo with the students who come to our classes.
This course has been designed to help yoga teachers apply tools to confidently share the abstract aspects of yoga, and to help students learn that yoga is not just a physical activity but a way of being in the world and a life-long practice that can transform their lives.

Join Yoga teacher & Reiki master Karen Murray for an evening of unwinding the stresses of your week. Restorative yoga is a series of poses designed to gently coax your body and mind into deep relaxation. During the class, Karen will assist in finding your most comfortable postures and also give a little reiki to all who would like to receive it. Matthew will be offering the healing sounds of crystal singing bowls, harmonium, chanting, and other sounds.
