This course is available to women and their babies who have had their 6 week postnatal checkup and are given the go -ahead to begin gentle exercise. You can, of course, come along without your baby if you have someone to look after them.
Pilates is great for strengthening your core and helping to regain your pre-pregnancy abdominal strength. Most importantly, we will be focussing on strengthening the pelvic floor and lower abdominals. You will work up slowly and safely.
It is also good for your mental health and general well-being. An opportunity to leave the house with or without your baby and meet other women in the same situation.
Sometimes you will get little done, especially if babies need feeding, but you will still be able to gain knowledge of the moves and practice later at home. It is also a great opportunity to bond with your baby and make connections with other new mums. Often, the postnatal classes are a woman’s first insight into this practice.

Healing and rest are our birthrights and when we lay these bones upon the Earth and move beyond our sense of individuality, we access boundless ancestral wisdom that lives in your body. This offering is an opportunity to connect to the healing power within and revive your capacity for self-healing through ritual, movement and yoga nidra meditation. When we heal in partnership with the ancestors of land, bloodline and other agreements we tap into a deep well of inspiration and power. Let us revive our inner resources for dreaming and designing our collective liberated future.
