Anyone interested in Pelvic Health either as a prevention or in support of conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, low-back pain, diastasis recti, pelvic pain. Students should be able to get up and down to the floor. Participants should be prepared to look at anatomy models and illustrations of the pelvis.
You learn breathing that is called pelvic -diaphragmatic breathing. This breath brings more awareness to synergy of muscles required to maintain and improve pelvic health. You will get a better understanding of the muscles, bone structure, connective tissue and ligaments that need to work together for optimal pelvic health. You will find out about the importance of relaxing the muscles involved and why that is a precondition to strengthening the inner core including the pelvic floor.
The most common Pelvic Health conditions will be touched on. You go home with an understanding of movements that support healing and those that should be avoided for some conditions. Handouts will be provided.
