This 4-class introduction to the ELDOA Method will guide you through myofascial exercises, which will help create space in the spinal discs and improve your posture.

Developed by French Osteopath Dr. Guy Voyer, the ELDOA are very precise postures that target a specific joint region, increasing space within the joint to provide relief from pain and restore balance. The exercises, once learned, may be practiced at home.
ELDOA is the French acronym when translated into English is LOADS (Longitudinal Osteo-articular Decoaptation Stretching). The ELDOA Method uses myofascial stretching (fascia is a dense web of connective tissue that covers every internal part of your body). The myofascial stretching will create positive tension around a specific joint to create joint space. While the fascia is stretching, the muscles are contracting allowing for postural normalization within a specific joint.
What we’re attempting to do with each posture for the spine is stabilize the bottom vertebra in order to mobilize the one above.
The fascia system is considered a major communicator in the body; therefore, it sends a
message to the nervous system and that’s where changes start to happen - at a very deep level.
The myofascial tension promotes neutral postural alignment in your joints which result in numerous benefits, including:
• improvement in joint mechanics (movement)
• increased blood flow
• reduced pressure/compression on the spinal discs
• a reduction of pain
• spinal disc rehydration
• better muscle tone
• improved posture
• an overall sense of well-being and awareness
The nerves and organs all have a relationship with the spine, so by improving the movement in the spine we may affect the health of the organs. It is important to understand that when we create space in the body, we create room for blockages to release, and may experience tiredness, muscle soreness, and emotional release.
This 6-week course will prepare your child to grow their yoga practice. This class will focus on yoga fundamentals, teaching them poses and sequences they can expect as they transition into Teen and Adult classes. Weekly, we will take time to build a mindfulness practice to learn strategies to take breaks and self-soothe during the challenging transition between childhood and adulthood. We will also have a lot of fun! This course is geared toward kids aged 8-11, but that range isn't written in stone.
This 6-week course will allow your child to discover yoga in a fun, creative and nurturing atmosphere. In this playful class we will encourage self-expression and self-respect in body and in mind, as well as respect for others. Your child will learn to focus through breathing and relaxation techniques, and grow strength and flexibility through fun and challenging yoga poses. Yoga for children is an opportunity for them to find tranquility and peace in their busy little lives while improving whole body health. This class is designed for children ages 4-7, but that range isn't written in stone.
Dance and yoga are often seen as two rather different things. Dance is an art form done to beat and rhythm, an expression of various cultural influences. Yoga on the other hand is an ancient discipline that focuses on spiritual, mental, and physical improvement. What happens when you mix the two? You get Beatz Yoga! The focus is to have fun and to learn a yoga sequence which incorporates movement to the rhythm and beat of the music. The music will consist of current and old school pop, hip-hop, rap, trap and trance, dance music from all over the world; anything to get the body riding the waves of the beats and rhythms from one asana to the next. You will discover that yoga and dance are one. Beatz Yoga is medicine; we will release, we will bless, we will transform, we will heal, and we will have fun! The space will be sacred and inviting, with lots of permission to be guided by inner rhythm and self-expression. This fun and deeply moving practice will connect us with the pulse of creation while offering all the benefits of a cardiovascular workout and yoga session. No experience in yoga or dance is necessary. Expect an increased love and respect for the body!!
Included in your ticket price is a full 75-minute Beatz Yoga Session led by instructor Sandra, complete with a cool down and meditation period, followed by sangria, tapas, conversation, and if the heart desires, more dancing! Hey, the heart wants what the heart wants, who are we to deny it?
