In this workshop, students will learn Thai massage techniques using leverage and gravity to aid the practitioner in stretching. This practice is fully clothed and performed on a mat on the ground. In this workshop you and a partner will learn how to give and take turns receiving the massage techniques. It is highly recommended that you come with a partner or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of time to see if anyone else is looking for a partner.
THAI BODYWORK DESCRIPTION:
Thai bodywork encompasses our whole
being by working on our muscles, skeleton, and the internal energy
within our bodies. The session is performed on a cushioned floor
mat, fully clothed, and without oil; instead of on a raised table.
The practitioner uses palm, thumb, elbow and foot pressing;
blending gentle rocking, rhythmic acupressure and yoga- like
stretches to help relax and revitalize the body. Thai bodywork is
remarkable for promoting energy flow, flexibility, and
re-connection that our body, mind, and soul are so often
