Armenta Method™: Belly Dance Foundations
A refined initiation into the art, culture, and embodiment of belly dance.
This 90-minute workshop introduces the foundational movements, rhythms, and musicality of the form through the lens of the Armenta Method™—a sophisticated approach that integrates technical precision, somatic awareness, and cultural respect.
Rooted in the traditions of the Levant and North Africa, this experience honors the dance's origins while cultivating presence, confidence, and authentic expression. Students are guided to move beyond imitation and into embodied understanding, approaching the practice with depth, intention, and integrity.
This is not a casual
class.
It is a curated and
respectful entry point into a powerful and enduring art
form.
Required for all new students before joining Embody: The Art of Belly Dance, ongoing classes at Armentality.
Offered quarterly. Enrollment is intentionally limited.

Choreography Lab — Autumn
Series
with Laura Armenta
A refined creative space for adults ready to move beyond steps and into authorship.
Most choreography opportunities are designed for the young, the pre-professional, or the highly technical. This is not one of them.
The Choreography Lab is a rare and intentional space created for adults ages 21 through 65, where artistry is shaped not only by technique, but by life experience, emotional intelligence, and embodied awareness.
Under the direction of Laura Armenta—participants engage in a guided creative process that is both structured and exploratory.
This is not a traditional dance class.
It is a creative laboratory.
A space where movement becomes language, and experience becomes material.
What You Will Explore
