Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop with Mileydi

We are thrilled to welcome Mileydi to teach a Afro-Cuban Dance Workshops.
This Afro-Cuban workshop is designed to immerse you in the energy, meaning, and expressive power of Afro-Cuban dance. Our March workshop will be focused on Eleggua to explore its movement and historical context through movement.
In this workshop, you will:

Connect with traditional rhythms from Afro-Cuban cultur

Work on technique, isolation, strength, and flow

Develop deeper body awareness and artistic expression

Engage in guided improvisation, energy work, and Afro-Cuban musicality
Open to all levels — no previous experience in Afro dance required, just curiosity, respect, and a willingness to learn.

Yoga for Dancers with Polina

This unique workshop is designed specifically for dancers who want to enhance their movement, flexibility, and body awareness through yoga. Guided by Polina, you’ll explore yoga postures and flows that directly connect to dance fundamentals: fluid hips, grounded feet, open chest and posture, spinal mobility, and mindful breath work.
Through a balanced sequence of centering, warm-up, dynamic flow, and cool-down, you’ll:

Build shoulder, neck, and spinal mobility to support isolations, shimmies, and spins.

Strengthen core and partner frame with poses like planks, warriors, and boat pose.

Improve hip flexibility and stability to prevent injuries and enhance body waves, dips, and quick footwork.

Explore balance poses such as tree, eagle, and dancer’s pose to sharpen control and stability for turns.

Connect breath with movement to feel more grounded, present, and expressive in your dancing.
What to Expect:

A 70-minute guided class with clear explanations and dancer-focused modifications.

Gentle warm-up to ease into movement, followed by a flow designed to challenge and support your dance technique.

House Dance Workshop with Charlotte
What is House Dance
Born from the underground club scenes of Chicago and New York, House dance is a vibrant street style rooted in rhythm, flow, and freedom of movement. It blends intricate footwork, fluid body grooves, and improvisation, all connected to the deep, soulful pulse of house music. Known for its energetic yet grounded style, House dance encourages personal expression and connection to the music — a true celebration of rhythm and movement.
What to Expect
In this 90-minute open-level workshop, Jojo will guide you through foundational steps, rhythmic variations, and dynamic combinations designed to build coordination, musicality, and flow. Expect an energetic, community-centered atmosphere where you can move, sweat, and explore new ways to express rhythm through your body. You’ll discover how House dance connects naturally to latin dance movement, enriching your footwork and adding fresh flavor to your dance style.
Who is it For
This workshop is open-level and open to everyone — no prior experience required. Whether you’re a seasoned Latin dancer, a social dancer looking to deepen your groove, or completely new to the style, this class offers something for you.
