Ballet Vermont is looking for very beginner- adv beginner adult ballet dancers to make up our corps for Farm to Ballet. Join us in this beginner friendly audition where you will get a chance to meet our staff, take a basic ballet class and learn some of the basic choreography danced by the Farm to Ballet corps. We use this mostly as a placement audition to figure out what parts will work best for you! We have structured a supportive rehearsal and training to support you in reaching your ballet dancer dreams on the big, grassy stage! You can think of this as a placement audition to help us figure out what roles will be good for you in Farm to Ballet.
Rehearsal Season: Varies based on level of dancers. Beginners/New dancers start as early as March, with returning dancers starting closer to May. Highest level dancers start mid-June.
Production: Weekends in July 2023

Ballet Vermont is looking for joyful adult ballet dancers to make up our company for Farm to Ballet. Farm to Ballet is made up of classic ballet pieces from Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty and more. We adapt the choreography to tell the story of a farm and then perform this ballet outside on grass at farms all over Vermont. We are looking for adult dancers at the intermediate aand advanced levels as well as pre-professional/professionals with experience partnering. Join us at thie audition will you will meet our staff, learn more about the production and experience a ballet class- with center focusing on choreography from the show.

1:1 rehearsals based on youth’s schedule with the artistic director/ballet mistress
Duet rehearsals (donkey/farm kid, farmer/farm kid) based on both dancers schedules
Full Cast required rehearsal schedule as listed in the previous section, with some flexibliity
Parent/responsible adult is not needed at rehearsals
Smaller rehearsals may be scheduled at studios more convenient to the youth’s location, if possible
Parent or a responsible adult is required to be with youth at each performance.
*We may cast more than one youth so the role/performance dates can be shared between the two youth- allowing for
more scheduling flexibility.
