Farm to Ballet Audition (Out of State/Video Submission)- Summer 2023
Mar 3, 2023 - Mar 3, 2023
* VIDEO SUBMISSION FOR OUT OF STATE DANCERS**

Ballet Vermont is looking for joyful adult ballet dancers to make up our company for Farm to Ballet. Farm to Ballet is made up of classic ballet pieces from Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty and more. We adapt the choreography to tell the story of a farm and then perform this ballet outside on grass at farms all over Vermont. We are looking for adult dancers at the intermediate aand advanced levels as well as pre-professional/professionals with experience partnering.

A few important notes for out of state auditioners:
-Video Submission is an option in place of an in person audition. In order to be considered, you must register HERE for the audition(s) of the productions you would like to be considered for. After registration, dancers will be sent an information packet that gives an overview of the production. Closer to the audition you will receive audition paperwork that will need to be completed. The audition team will not consider any materials emailed to us independently or outside of this process.

-Ballet Vermont is a young company. As of now, dancers are paid per performance and are not paid an hourly rate for rehearsal time. However, there is additional employment available which includes summer camps and teaching classes/workshops- dependent on skills and ability.

-If you are offered a contract for our summer and/or spring production, you will also receive information at that time about housing we may be able to provide and we can begin a dialogue about additional employment in order to help you make a good decision for yourself.

-Vermont is a rural state. Dancers should plan to have their own transportation during their stay in Vermont. Travel stipends may/may not be available.

-We are most excited to find great dancers who are a good match for what we are doing. We are focused on experiencing the joy of dancing, of building a community of supportive people to create each show and of bringing that joy to our audience. This is not your typical ballet company so we encourage you to explore our website and learn more about us and what our shows look like!
