Assessment
requirement: Students wishing to join this course
must complete at least 8
weeks of the Bachata Foundations course (or equivalent) and
actively social dancing for at least 1 year AND pass an assessment
to enroll. ALL students wishing to move up a level (from
Fundamentals or higher) at Baza must obtain permission from the
instructor via assessment.
Sensual Integration is designed for dancers ready to deepen their understanding of sensual bachata by refining technique, enhancing creativity, and building a more intuitive dance connection. This course focuses on applying sensual fundamentals in a dynamic and expressive way, allowing dancers to develop their own voice while maintaining strong communication with their partner.By the end of the course, students will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of balancing structured technique with personal interpretation and playfulness
- Use breath, level changes, and adaptive tension to enhance lead-follow connection and dynamics
- Build confidence in navigating more complex frames, moves, and transitions,
- Interpret musical cues to express energy shifts, accents, and phrase changes.
