Course Highlights
1. Reformer Anatomy & Mechanics
Gain a deep understanding of the Reformer’s structure and function. Learn the anatomy of each component—carriage, springs, footbar, pulleys, ropes, and shoulder blocks—and how they work together to create resistance and support. Explore proper equipment setup, spring tension variations, and how to modify the machine to fit every body type safely and effectively.
2. Class Planning & Programming
Learn how to structure a balanced and effective Reformer class from start to finish. We’ll break down class formats for strength, mobility, balance, and endurance, and teach you how to sequence exercises that flow seamlessly while maintaining intelligent progression. You’ll leave with templates for multiple class formats and the confidence to design your own cohesive sessions.
3. Welcoming Beginners
Develop the skills to confidently teach first-time Reformer clients. Understand common fears and challenges, and learn cueing strategies, modifications, and progressions that ensure safety and success. 4. Teaching to All Levels
Master the art of layering movement and offering options for every level—from beginner to advanced athlete. 5. Creating a Cohesive Class Flow

6. Safety & Alignment
Prioritize proper alignment and injury prevention in every session. Learn key anatomical landmarks, contraindications, and how to spot and correct misalignments. Develop a keen eye for form while maintaining a supportive and mindful teaching style.
7. Music Integration
Explore how to use music as a motivational and energetic tool to enhance your Reformer classes. Learn how tempo, rhythm, and emotion influence movement quality, pacing, and focus. 8. Mindfulness on the Reformer
Bring intention and awareness to the physical practice. Learn to weave breathwork, body awareness, and mindfulness cues into your teaching so that every class feels grounding, focused, and transformative. This experience will immerse you in the magic of yoga and meditation during Scotland’s lush and vibrant Spring season, while enjoying the luxury of a private yoga retreat setting. Set amongst the wonderfully wild mountains of the Highlands, you will enjoy twice daily yoga and meditation with Megan + Jen; fresh, healthy meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner; as well the option to indulge in various spa offerings; tap into your sense of adventure and curiosity with various tours and excursions; and enjoy the property’s beautiful ample grounds.

Accommodations
This yoga retreat will be held on a private farm, with a collection of luxuriously renovated farmhouses, cottages, barns, and stables near Stirling, Scotland. Each room has been carefully renovated by the property owners and are comfortably furnished to both highlight the beauty of nature and offer you the luxury you deserve on a yoga retreat! All rooms have an ensuite bathroom (with the exception of two rooms, which have a shared bathroom), air conditioning, and beautiful views of the farm’s gardens and pristine landscape. There are multiple hot tubs at each property for you to relax and enjoy this gorgeous landscape, as well as walking paths and places to read, journal, and just soak up the beauty of the countryside.
Our twice-daily yoga classes will be held in a spacious, renovated barn, as well as other outdoor spaces throughout the property. Meals will be enjoyed together in the Farmhouse, prepared by a private chef. The menu for the week will be tailored to our guest’s specific preferences, all using fresh, locally grown ingredients.
Surrounding this beautiful location are mountains and lakes of the Trossachs National Park and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, where hiking and other activities can take place. Day trips to the idyllic villages of Buchlyvie and Stirling, or the bigger city of Edinburgh, can be arranged for shopping, sightseeing, dining, and soaking up the joyful wonders of Scottish culture. In addition, guests can schedule massage treatments, whiskey tastings, Scottish dancing instruction, bike tours, and more!
