Join us for Deep Rest, an in-person restorative workshop at Bhakti Yoga DC in Washington DC, hosted by Path Wellbeing Founder Kirsten Ahern. This workshop blends nourishing and supportive postures with marma therapy (energetic vital point therapy) and aromatherapy to achieve a state of deep release and renewal. At the entrance to Vata Season, when erratic and busy energy can lead to excess stress and activity, intentional rest provides much needed equilibrium to the nervous system, the mind and the body.
Energetic alignment through marma point activation and guided marma nidra (a practice of yoga nidra through the marma points) promotes physiological equilibrium, cellular renewal & deep healing. Includes a customized aromatherapy massage oil to take home, an Ayurvedic adaptogenic snack, and a free marma point guide.
Things to bring: comfortable clothing you can get a little oily and a towel from home.
Join us for a soulful Kirtan event held every Ekadashi, the auspicious day dedicated to fasting and spiritual reflection in Hindu tradition. Ekadashi occurs twice a month on the eleventh day of the lunar cycle, offering a unique opportunity for deeper connection with the divine. Come chant, meditate, and experience the profound peace and devotion of this sacred gathering.
Agni Namaskar!
Join Kirsten Ahern this New Year’s Eve for her annual ritualistic
end-of-year fire practice - Agni Namaskar!
We will gather to ignite our internal fires and welcome in the
energy of a new cycle and burn away that which no longer serves. As
a ritualistic practice, we honor an alignment with the season, with
the elements and with the universal flow that allows us to ignite
our wisdom, illuminate our spirit, and transform our being.
Through the physical practice of Agni Namaskar, we roll up our
sleeves, turn up our internal fires, and release toxins at deep
cellular and subtle levels. While fire practices are physically
intense, Kirsten offers options and modifications to suit ALL
LEVELS.
To extinguish the flames, we’ll drop into a deep, cooling
restorative practice at the end to carry us through into the new
year in a balanced and nourished way.
The practice includes heart-lifting music and inspirational
readings from teachers and scriptures to help us align with the
eternal flame that burns within us all.
You don’t want to miss this! OPEN TO ALL BEINGS, ALL LEVELS, ALL
HEARTS.
All teacher proceeds will be donated to a charitable cause of
choice.
