Individuals with severe cardiovascular issues (such as heart disease, recent heart attacks, or uncontrolled high blood pressure), respiratory conditions (like severe asthma or COPD), epilepsy or a history of seizures, and those who are pregnant should approach breathwork with caution or consult a healthcare professional before participating. It is also not recommended for individuals with severe anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder, as the practice can sometimes intensify emotional or mental states. People recovering from recent surgeries, injuries, or with chronic conditions like diabetes or thyroid disorders should exercise caution. Additionally, those with a high risk of fainting or other conditions that affect blood pressure should be mindful. Always listen to your body and seek guidance if you’re unsure about the suitability of breathwork for your health.
