Yoga for Hypermobility Workshop
Mai 16, 2026 - Mai 16, 2026
Have you been diagnosed with a hypermobility disorder, work
with hypermobile yoga students, or are you just curious to know
what “hypermobility” is all about? This workshop is for you!
Come celebrate Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) and Ehler
Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Awareness Month this May by learning more
about these conditions, how to safely modify your own yoga practice
if you have a hypermobile body, or, if you are an instructor, how
to support your hypermobile students.
Alex will provide a brief introduction to HSD and EDS and
practical tips and takeaways for modifying the physical practice of
yoga for a hypermobile body and for teaching hypermobile students.
She will then lead a hypermobility-sensitive yoga class suitable
for all levels of yoga experience, including instruction on how to
utilize props to support and stabilize your practice. Class will
conclude with a relaxing guided meditation to invite acceptance of
ourselves and our bodies just as they are.
Alex is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, certified sound
healer, and reiki practitioner. Alex is not a medical
professional and cannot diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice
to folks with HSD or EDS; however, she brings a wealth of lived
experience as a person with EDS. Yoga has been a tremendous source
of strength, grounding, and peace during Alex's chronic health
journey and she is eager to share how this practice can benefit
others with hypermobility disorders.
