This workshop includes a 30 minute safe and gentle yoga flow specially designed for postpartum
healing and recovery. You will also learn how to screen for perinatal mental health disorders and
find support, activate your core and check for diastasis recti, and gain tools to relieve sore and
tight muscles from feeding and carrying a baby.

1. Offer a safe and supportive place to explore movement following childbirth.
2. Address and relieve aches, tightness, and soreness associated with labor, birth,
postpartum healing, and newborn care.
3. Emphasize rest and recovery as a path to a strong and vibrant relationship with your body,
rather than ways to “bounce back”.

Nanci and Lorena are highly-trained and experienced alignment-based perinatal yoga teachers who share their passion and expertise for the perinatal population. Their class sequences are skillfully tailored to alleviate and address the discomforts of each trimester while applying alignment and therapeutic principles to create balance and support to the changes of the prenatal and postnatal body. They pride themselves on creating a safe space for mamas to explore motherhood while building community with others. They have created this program based on their combined 37 years of teaching experience in hospitals, yoga studios, and birth resource centers in the Bay Area.
