Join us for our monthly Queer Figure Drawing Night: a drop-in figure session at BFAC for queers, by queers. Anyone who comes to draw can opt into a 5-20 minute modelling slot (clothed or nude), in an environment that prioritizes your comfort and empowerment. Join this intermediate level figure drawing class with artist and founder of the Boston Figure, Damon Lehrer! “Intermediate level” is a loose definition - it includes anyone who is looking for a bit of a challenge, after having taken some basic drawing classes or after having drawn for a while.

We’ll emphasize expressiveness, confidence, accuracy, and generally respond to the needs of the individuals in the class as we draw together. Damon will demonstrate his techniques in pencil and charcoal for the class and individually to identify and grow each student’s strengths, advising on where and how each student could improve. The class is limited to just 10 people to ensure everyone gets individualized attention!

This is a great class to take if you've taken Figure Drawing Basics, or if you've been attending figure sessions for a little while now and are looking for your next push.

Join artist and instructor Halle Cooper for a night of guided painting and wine! If you haven’t heard of a “Paint and Sip,” it’s basically a Bob-Ross-style painting lesson. We will all be painting the same beginner-friendly picture, and the teacher will guide you through, step by step. Follow along exactly, or add your own twist as you go. It will be so easy you can even do it a little tipsy! (but not if you drove!) It’s a great time for non-painters and professional artists alike. Just a fun, low-stakes, creative activity to do with your friends (or a great way to make new ones!) Supplies included.
