One of the earliest photographic techniques, cyanotypes (also known as blueprints or sunprints) use light-sensitive chemicals and the power of sunlight to produce striking blue images. In this class, you’ll have access to stencils and a variety of natural and found materials to design your own prints.

Join artist and instructor Halle Cooper for a night of guided painting and wine! If you haven’t heard of a “Paint and Sip,” it’s basically a Bob-Ross-style painting lesson. We will all be painting the same beginner-friendly picture, and the teacher will guide you through, step by step. Follow along exactly, or add your own twist as you go. It will be so easy you can even do it a little tipsy! (but not if you drove!) It’s a great time for non-painters and professional artists alike. Just a fun, low-stakes, creative activity to do with your friends (or a great way to make new ones!) Supplies included.

Want to customize your clothes, tote bags, or other items? Explore cyanotype beyond paper and into textiles in this two-part workshop focused on printing on fabric.

In the first session, students will learn the cyanotype process through hands-on experiments on paper and small fabric samples, building an understanding of exposure, composition, and material differences. The second session expands into larger and wearable fabrics, using textiles participants bring from home, such as clothing, tote bags, or linens, to create functional, one-of-a-kind blue prints!

This workshop is beginner friendly and perfect for anyone interested in alternative photography, surface design, or wearable art. Students will leave with multiple test prints/patches and at least two finished fabric pieces that are ready to wear!

Join us for outdoor landscape painting and soak up the sun! Pack a lunch and your travel set of paints, or simply a sketchbook and pencil, and meet us at a nearby location (details given once you sign up, but don't worry, it's in Cambridge!).

If you've never painted plein air before, we'll have people who can help guide you through the basics. It'll just be a nice day in the grass for painting, sketching, chatting, and enjoying the Spring together.
