Silks, also known as aerial fabric, are two long pieces of soft fabric that hang from a single point. Students will learn climbs, positions, inversions, and drops tailored to their individual skill and fitness level. Students will gain strength and confidence as they learn to safely and beautifully manipulate the fabric to move into a variety of poses. An adult is required to be present in the facility for the entire duration of the class.
Sessions are open to students of all levels of experience and fitness. Students receive individualized instruction tailored to their comfort, skill, strength, and background. Gymnastics at CCCS
At CCCS, we introduce children to the fundamentals of gymnastics in a safe, supportive, and playful environment. Through their class experience, they’ll develop confidence, coordination, and social-emotional skills that benefit them far beyond the gym. Our highly qualified instructors guide children toward more advanced progressions and challenging skills as they become ready.
What sets our program apart is the chance to explore elements of the circus arts alongside gymnastics. Thanks to our one-of-a-kind space, kids as young as six can naturally transition to or combine circus classes with their gymnastics training—a rare opportunity that you won’t find anywhere else!
Whether your child dreams of pursuing gymnastics, circus, or or simply building a strong foundation for any path they choose, our classes are the perfect place to start.
Equipment
Our equipment collection is limited compared to full-scale gymnastics clubs given our current space restrictions, but we’ve invested in quality items from top trusted brands. We currently have a single bar, low balance beam, and several tumbling mats. Participants will be introduced to all equipment throughout the session even if not all of it is utilized in a single class. The structure for both classes includes a warm-up, focused group work, circuits, conditioning, and games. We may also have special visits to some of the other gymnastics-specific equipment in the space (i.e. trampoline) depending on lesson plans and availability.
Level 1 — Pre-approval Required
We require that an adult be present for the duration of class.
This class focuses on developing and refining fundamental skills while working on more advanced progressions. Students will practice techniques according to USA Gymnastics that are designed to build strength, flexibility, and confidence—all while having fun getting their sillies out!
