FAQs
Q: Am I too old/out of shape for this series? Alternatively, am I too young/experienced at yoga to learn more?
A: No! This series is perfect for everyone, and we will all support you wherever you are in your life journey and yoga journey. The whole group will develop better connection and understanding of yoga as we learn how to adapt the poses for everyone.
Q: If I already have a membership, can I still sign up?
A: Absolutely! This is a wonderful enhancement to your existing practice. You can register for Roots and Wings now and we will happily put a hold on your existing membership during the six weeks of the series.
Q: What if I miss a session?
A: You’ll still be able to follow along with the post-class notes. While we don’t offer make-ups, the series is such a good deal that you’ll get tons of value even if you must miss a session or two.

- Gentle core and pelvic floor reactivation
- Strength and mobility exercises for shoulders, hips, and spine
- Restorative poses for relaxation and release
- Community connection and space to share (if desired)
- A closing rest to replenish your energy
You’ll leave feeling more centered, supported, and empowered as you continue your postpartum healing journey.

Metta In Motion offers a gentle, embodied way to
pause, turn inward, and intentionally send lovingkindness to our
own bodies. This 90-minute workshop invites us to cultivate care,
presence, and connection through movement, breath, and
mindfulness—an opportunity to focus on love and lovingkindness for
ourselves and others.
We will bring the practice of metta—an ancient Pali word meaning
love or lovingkindness—into motion. Traditionally, metta is a
meditation practice offering phrases of goodwill, such as “may I be
healthy, may you be happy,” to ourselves, others, and the wider
world, including plants, animals, and ecosystems. In this workshop,
we will infuse each breath, asana (body posture), somatic dance
prompt, and mudra with these intentions, consciously sending well
wishes to and from our bodies. This practice can be especially
nurturing when we experience tension, discomfort, stress, or
disconnection in the body.
Throughout the workshop, we will move with gentle, accessible yoga
postures in dance form—alternating fluid movement and
stillness—while exploring mindfulness prompts, guided meditation
practices, and simple mantra and mudra applications. Movement
becomes a vehicle for offering care, noticing sensation, and
deepening our awareness of the body’s wisdom. The focus is on
cultivating tenderness, self-compassion, and the union of mind and
body through embodied lovingkindness.
Your guide:
Jennifer Lucero-Earle is a trauma-informed Registered Somatic
Movement Therapist and Educator who has been teaching dance as

elemental wisdom, and creative movement to support resilience,
embodiment, and transformation—and is very much looking forward to
moving with you.

deeply restorative sound bath to support relaxation and
integration.
This workshop is open to all, no prior yoga or meditation
experience needed. Come as you are and leave feeling refreshed,
centered, and connected in body, mind, and spirit.
