Overhead Mobility Workshop

Does it feel hard to reach overhead in certain yoga postures or other activities? There are many factors that can limit your body’s ability to reach overhead with ease. In this workshop you will learn about the different limitations that can influence your ability to reach overhead: ribcage position, shoulder blade movement, and key muscles of the shoulder and neck. You will walk away with a basic understanding of anatomy, your current shoulder limitations, and simple drills you can do to start improving your overhead mobility. This workshop is great for those who want to reach overhead with more ease in their yoga practice and other activities and for yoga/fitness professionals.

Jessica will lead you through a guided meditation, sound bath and group Reiki experience. Reiki, pronounced “ray-kee”, originated in Japan and is a healing practice which supports overall balance, clarity and relaxation.
 
The combination of Reiki energy healing and sound bath will help to guide you into the space of your inner realm to calm the body, mind and energy. This can have a powerfully positive impact on your mood, emotional regulation, productivity, clarity and even help you sleep better. You'll be led through a guided meditation, bathed in sound and receive individual Reiki healing.

Jessica is a Reiki Master, yoga therapist and owner of Cedar Yoga.
 
Reiki, Meditation + Sound Healing will be held the second Saturday of every month, 12:00-1:00pm
