Our Adult Rock Band at Chinook School of Music features intermediate/advanced vocalists, guitar, bass, drum, keyboard and saxophone players. Musicians are guided through the process of choosing and arranging music, refining collaboration skills and honing performance techniques. A live performance will be scheduled at the end of each session.

Pre-requisites:
Musicians must be at an intermediate/advanced levels and have the skills, resources and time to prepare their parts outside of rehearsal. As attendance is crucial for the cohesion and progress of the band, all members are expected to attend rehearsals and performances.

What you need for class:

• Please bring your violin, shoulder rest, bow.

• In our first class we will meet together, discuss our goals for the ensemble and review ideas for music selections.

This customized program will have you jamming with your friends and kids in no time! Explore strumming patterns and rhythms, learn picking techniques and build a collection of your favourite tunes.

Adults who have guitar playing experience or have already taken a level 1 class are encouraged to register in level 2 or 3. If you are unsure which class level is the best fit, please contact us.
