Tap Level 2 Series
Continue developing your tap dance skills with our Intro to Tap Level 2 Series—three distinct 6-week courses designed for adults who have completed the Intro to Tap Series or have some entry-level tap experience. Each course helps build on the fundamentals of rhythm, footwork, musicality, and tap terminology taught in the Intro to Tap, gradually introducing more challenging combinations and expressive techniques. Dancers will strengthen timing, coordination, and musical interpretation, gaining confidence and artistry in slightly longer and more dynamic tap sequences. As with the Intro Series, each Intro to Tap Level 2 course can be taken in any order.
Intro to Tap Level 2: Sound & Technique
Theme: Developing clarity, speed, and technical variety.
Focus: Rudiment variations (cramp rolls, shuffles, riffs, paradiddles), drills for articulation, clarity of sound, and basics of speed and coordination in simple combinations.
