Carlos & Susan Bachata Experience

Workshops + Social Night

Date: July 17 & July 18

Get ready for a full Saturday of training, connection, and fun with Carlos & Susan.

This special event is designed to help you build strong bachata foundations, improve your partnerwork and musical understanding, and then enjoy an amazing night of social dancing with the DMV community.

Whether you are just starting or already dancing at a higher level, this day has something for you.

Workshop Schedule

2:00 PM – Foundations Workshop (Open Level / Level 1)

We begin with the essentials.

In this class, you will work on:

• Footwork

• Weight changes

• Basic bachata technique

• Strong foundations

• Understanding the roots and feeling of bachata

This class is open to everyone and is the perfect way to build a better base for your dancing.

3:00 PM – Partnerwork Training

In this session, we will apply everything learned in the first class into partnerwork.

You will work on:

• Connection with a partner

• Applying footwork, timing and foundations during partnerwork

• Progressive partnerwork

• Increasing confidence while dancing with someone else

This class will build step by step from the first hour.

4:00 PM – Break

We will have a short break of approximately 30 minutes.

4:30 PM – Progressive Workshop (Level 3)

Time to level up.

In this workshop, we will combine everything from the earlier sessions into a more advanced combination that will challenge you:

• Technically

• Musically

• Mentally

• Creatively

This class is designed for dancers who want a stronger challenge and want to push their bachata to the next level.

5:30 PM – Styling Battle

We will close the training portion with something fun and exciting.

Enjoy:

• Men’s styling

• Ladies’ styling

• A small style battle

Bring your personality, flavor, and confidence to the dance floor.

Evening Break

After the workshops, we will take a longer break from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM so everyone can rest, reset, and get ready for the social.

Social Party

9:30 PM – Doors Open

Join us for an unforgettable social night until 3:00 AM with DJ Lirius from LA GOZADERA DMV

Music Breakdown

• 70% Bachata

• 10% Merengue

• 20% Salsa

This is the perfect night to practice, connect, and enjoy the community.

And yes! As always, we will have our “Beer Pong Table” ready to help break the ice.
So even if you are newer to dancing, you can still come, have fun, and meet people.
