Ages 9 and older
This class is for dancers who haven't tried ballet before who are ages 9 and up! Students will be able to dip their toes into the art form of ballet and see if it's a good fit for them! This class structure is great for the summer when kids are not in school and when families want to take advantage of vacations. Try out ballet and learn the joy of dance with this three week course!
Session: June 9th - June 22nd. ( 2 week session)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Registration required, repeatable. Two classes per week.
Pre-requisite: Children must have completed at least 1 year of a youth ballet class at Dovetail Studios or equivalent.
(Ages 7-10) Youth Ballet is for the child who has a
capacity to learn quickly, is passionate about ballet, and looking
to expand their dance studies. This class meets twice a week in
order to further the childs understanding of ballet
technique.
This class will focus on learning feet and leg positions, placement
and alignment of the body and arm (port de bras), jumps and
pirouettes.
DRESS CODE: Light blue leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes are required. Boys must wear a white shirt, black tights, leggings or black shorts, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled into a tight bun.
TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.
Session Advanced Ballet 3/4
Session: (June 9th - June 22nd ) (2 Week Session)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:15 - 6:45pm
(Ages 7-12) Youth Ballet is a foundational class in classical ballet. This class will focus on learning feet and leg positions, placement and alignment of the body and arm (port de bras), jumps and pirouettes. Youth Ballet 3: A full year of Youth Ballet 2 (or equivalent) is required to join Youth Ballet 3.
DRESS CODE: Black leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes are required. Boys must wear a white shirt, black tights, leggings or black shorts, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled into a tight bun.

Pre Pointe
This class is for students with at least 5 years of ballet training and for those who are on pointe or ready to go on pointe. The class will consist of a 30-minute pointe class.
This class meets one time a week for two weeks.
Youth Musical Theatre Dance Mondays and Wednesdays 5:15-6:15pm
Session Dates: June 10th-19th. This class meets every M/W for two weeks
Registration required, repeatable. One class per week. Additional class recommended.
Youth Musical Theatre Dance is a sharp and fast-paced technique that incorporates jazz technique with the big stages of broadway in mind. This class teaches rhythm and timing, as well as builds strength and coordination with music from the biggest shows! Level 1 is the introductory level, for those new to Musical Theatre Dance.
DRESS CODE: Leotard and black tights. Shorts may be worn over tights. Jazz shoes are required.
