THE ART OF ARM BALANCES

Let’s face it: arm balances are like the Rubiks Cube of yoga. Each one
is awe-inspiring and uniquely different and challenging. However, the
positioning of these postures can often puzzle us due to their demand
for effort, strength, attention to detail, and awkward body
configurations. Like a plane, you must synergistically piece together
many parts to both prepare and take flight safely. Unfortunately,
without the proper understanding and proprioceptive feedback, we tend to
accelerate ourselves into these postures without adequate knowledge of
making it work for our unique anatomy.
In this workshop, we will break down the dynamics of these postures and
how linking the relationships of our parts to the poses can lead to
breakthroughs in balance. Take a moment to step back from the demanding
elements required, and hone in on the critical areas you need more
attention to detail to enable you to lift off and stay up.

- Several techniques and variations for lift off
- How to utilize blocks for your arm balance modifications
- Your unique areas of work
- Drills to strength the upper back, legs, and core

In the event of cancellation, the following policies apply:
31 days or more prior to the workshop: Your payment can be refunded in full.
15 - 30 days prior to the workshop: Payments are refundable, less a 30% administration fee
14 days or less prior to the workshop: Payments are not refundable, but are transferable (less a 30% administration fee) to another event or workshop at Village Yoga.
Withdrawals from active events or workshops will result in the loss of all fees paid. Active withdrawal applies to any cancellation made with 48 hours of the event/workshop start time.
